Lehigh Trail
Connection to the Town of Mendon Trail and Phillips Road was begun in late
2004.
Connection between Auburn and Lehigh Trails
Tree and brush removal from Phillips Road to the connection to the Auburn
Trail was performed.

Connection to the Town of Mendon Trail and Phillips Road was

Construction along the Auburn Trail between Main Street, Fishers and
School Street was completed.
Trolley Trail Connection
Construction of the 8-foot wide sidewalk along Rawson and School
Street to the Trolley Trail was begun and completed in Spring 2006.
Connection between Auburn and Lehigh Trails
The connection was completed by contracted forces.
Construction was halted in order to complete the
remaining right of way acquisitions and an alternate route design due to the
lack of obtaining right of way between School Street and Maple Avenue. The
alternate route will use the new sidewalk along Rawson Road and School
Street, to the Trolley Trail and then along Maple Avenue to the trailhead
adjacent to Railroad Street.
Auburn Trail
The trail between Maple Avenue and the Farmington Town line was completed
during the 2007 Summer and Fall seasons.

Trolley Trail Improvements
As part of the alternate route determined during 2006 and 2007, the existing
Trolley Trail received improvements such as softer slopes up to the railroad
crossing and new asphalt overlay along the entire length from School Street
to Maple Avenue.
Landscape/Parking Areas
Construction activities for the Brace Road and Break of Day Road parking
areas took place as that section of trail was being constructed.

Landscape/Parking Areas
Stamped concrete plazas with benches, informational kiosks, and bike racks
were constructed at Maple Avenue and Fisher’s Fire Hall by contracted
forces. They also installed the directional signage.
Old Dutch Road
Old Dutch Road includes a 5’ wide shoulder adjacent to the roadway
connecting the Lehigh Valley Trail to the entrance of Fishers Park.
Break of Day and East Victor Roads
These roads include a 5’ wide shoulder adjacent to the roadway that
provides a continuous route from Brace Road to East Victor Road.
Trolley Trail
Finger Lakes Railroad constructed an ADA compliant track crossing.
Trail Amenities
Installation of bollards was started in December 2008 and completed this
year. All of the final landscaping and amenities will be completed during
2010, including 2 new kiosks. One will be located on the Auburn Trail near
NYS Route 251 and the other will be located on the Lehigh Valley Trail near
Old Dutch Road.
